Day 1Bagdogra - Darjeeling

On arrival, you will be assisted by our representatives at the airport and driven to Darjeeling (93 km, 3 hours approx). Evening is for leisure. Then have a delicious dinner and stay overnight the hotel.

Day 2 Explore Darjeeling

In the early morning, make a visit to the Tiger Hill and treat yourself to a beautiful sunrise and views of the Himalayan Range (Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc). Behold the multi-hued horizon just before sunrise and watch the entire Himalayan range turn blissfully golden. On your way back from Tiger Hill, visit Ghum Monastery - the oldest monastery in the area (built in 1875) and see the statue of Maitreya Buddha standing tall at 15 ft. Have breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a wonderful city tour, covering the Tenzing Rock, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Gombu Rock, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) and Happy Valley Tea Estate (from outside). Enjoy a lovely dinner and retreat for the night back at the hotel.

Day 3Darjeeling - Gangtok

After a filling breakfast at the hotel, drive for about 4 hours (98 km) to reach Gangtok. On arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Have dinner and get a good sleep at the hotel.

Day 4Gangtok Sightseeing

Have breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a half day city tour to the Rumtek Monastery, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays), Do-drul Chorten and Flower Show Complex. Relish a delicious dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5Explore Changu Lake and Baba Mandir

After a refreshing breakfast at the hotel, gear up for a full day excursion to Changu Lake (35 km from Gangtok), which stands at an altitude of 12,400 ft. The lake derives its waters from the snows that melt down from the surrounding mountains. As per legends, it is said that the lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the water at this lake. Also make a visit to the holy Baba Mandir. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6Gangtok - Bagdogra

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra airport (125 km and 4 hours approx. via NJP station) for the flight back to your hometown.
